Philippa Lamb - Design Consultant

After graduating from Northumbria University with a BA Honours degree in Three Dimensional Design, specialising in Furniture and Interiors, and later gaining an additional City and Guild certificate in Two Dimensional Computer Aided Design, Philippa began designing bathrooms and bedrooms in 2004. She began creating Kitchens the following year for a high street company. Since then she has work for various high street retailers before discovering James Cornwell Interiors in 2011 and found her niche. Working for an independent retailer gives so much freedom to design, as anything is possible. Her design philosophy is getting the right balance of style and practicality and prides herself on being a good listener to tailor the design specifically to suit the individual client needs.

Charmaine McSkelly - Office Manager

Charmaine has worked in administration for 10 years. After gaining her level 2 and 3 in Business Administration and a diploma in IT. She has worked in different sectors and many of those years were spent working within the care sector. Charmaine joined the team at James Cornwell Interiors in 2015 and manages all of the administration and works closely with the team to organise jobs and schedule them accordingly. Charmaine thrives from organisation and happy customers, she takes a personal approach to every job that is being carried out and she will go that extra mile to make sure the job runs as smoothly as possible.

Steve Scott - Managing Director

Steve has worked in the fitted furniture business for over 35 years and has ran James Cornwell Interiors LTD For over 17 years.

He started working in the early eighties as a labourer for a kitchen company sweeping floors making tea and running to the shop. He worked hard and it was noticed by my manager who offered him an apprenticeship as a wood machinist . After the company closed he moved on working all hours, he worked 4 years as a cabinet maker and 10 years as a kitchen, bedroom and bathroom fitter. Steve learnt all plumbing and studied for 2 years at collage for electrics , always learning and is still learning today, as products are changing all the time. Over the years Steve has had mentors who taught him well and he now mentors others passing on his extensive knowledge and experience. Steve prides himself in giving a first class service, making sure customers have a positive experience.
